Many moves involve large bedframes, tables, or furniture that need to be disassembled and rebuilt. Thankfully, furniture disassembly and reassembly is included in our hourly moving rates, so you don't need to handle it yourself ahead of time.
Offices, Businesses, and Professional Relocation
We also provide commercial moving services tailored for small businesses, offices, and professional spaces. Whether you're relocating equipment, transferring inventory, or moving into a new workspace, our team applies the same level of care and organization to commercial moving as we do with residential moving.
For your convenience, our commercial moving services are billed at the same transparent moving rates:
$175 per hour

Storage moves are extremely common in Alaska, and we handle them regularly as part of our residential moving and commercial moving services. We provide moving services to and from storage units, including:
- Moving items into storage during a transition
- Moving out of storage into a new home
- Switching units or facilities
- Storage unit close-outs and cleanups
While we do not operate our own storage facility yet, we are fully equipped to assist customers with efficient moving rates into or out of any local storage unit.
Loading & Unloading Help – U-Hauls, Pods, and Containers
Not every move, be it a residential moving project or a commercial moving endeavor, requires a full-service truck. Many customers simply need experienced labor to load or unload a rental truck, trailer, or shipping container.
We offer hourly moving help for:
- U-Haul loading and unloading
- PODS, U-Boxes, and U-Pack type containers
- In-home furniture rearranging
- Heavy item placement and positioning
Our labor-only moving services are also billed at:
- $175 per hour
- Two-hour minimum
Out-of-State Moves: Container Loading Option
While we do not provide out-of-state transportation moves, we can load shipping containers that will be transported elsewhere. For many customers, this is a far more affordable alternative to full-service interstate moving, making it a great option for both residential and commercial moving needs.
Please Have Small Items Boxed or Bagged Before Arrival
To ensure an efficient and affordable moving experience, especially during residential moving, we ask that all small personal items be boxed or bagged prior to our arrival. This preparation helps save valuable time on moving day and ensures you are paying for productive labor rather than packing loose household items, ultimately keeping moving rates reasonable.
In short: prepping small items ahead of time saves us time, and saves you money.
No Packing Services Offered
We do not offer full packing services, as packing can be time-intensive and carries unnecessary liability. Our primary focus is on safe, efficient moving and transport for both residential moving and commercial moving.
However, if professional packing support is needed, we can gladly refer you to one of our trusted local partners.
Moving With Care – Protection Is Standard
At our company, we take pride in protecting your belongings during every move, whether it's a residential moving or commercial moving project. Our experienced crews utilize moving blankets, straps, dollies, and proven loading methods to ensure that your items remain secure throughout transport.
We also specialize in handling delicate and high-value items, such as taxidermy, giving each piece the attention and respect it deserves.
Upright Pianos, Gun Safes, and Vending Machines
Some moving jobs involve oversized items that necessitate extra labor, equipment, and careful planning. We are equipped to move certain large items on a case-by-case basis, including:
- Upright pianos (not grand pianos)
- Gun safes
- Vending machines
Because these items present significantly more risk and require more effort than standard furniture, they incur an additional charge related to moving rates.
Oversize Item Pricing
Oversized items are billed at our standard moving rate of:
- $175 per hour
- Two-hour minimum
Additionally:
- A $250 oversize item charge applies for each item moved, per floor of stairs navigated.
Example: If an upright piano is moved from a second-floor pickup location to a third-floor delivery location (without using elevators), the oversize charge would apply for a total of five floors navigated.
All oversize charges are always discussed, negotiated, and approved in advance on a case-by-case basis.
Billable Time Starts On Arrival – Not When We Leave the Shop
One major way we set ourselves apart in the commercial moving industry is how we handle our moving rates.
Our moving clock begins when we arrive at your pickup location and greet you, stopping only when the job is complete for both residential moving and commercial moving services.
We do not charge customers for the time spent driving to the initial pickup location or back to the shop after the move finishes. This approach is part of our commitment to honest, verifiable billing and conducting business with integrity.
Safety and Compliance Limitations
For safety, insurance, and regulatory reasons, our commercial moving services are unable to transport:
- Oxygen tanks
- Propane tanks
- Acetylene tanks
- Any compressed gas or flammable substances requiring placards
Additionally, in our residential moving offerings, we do not relocate hot tubs or vehicles from one property to another. Hot tubs and vehicles are classified as disposal-only due to the high likelihood of damage and potential development of leaks during transport. Understanding these restrictions helps us provide competitive moving rates while ensuring safety and compliance.
